Also the rhode campaign just didn't make sense to me as a LIP product...why are we a million feet away and not able to even see the actual product on their lips??

1000%! None of it was logical. To make a fitness related campaign (in theory, totally fine!) and then recreate a famous campaign that has nothing to do with fitness, and to hardly show off the product or the point of the launch throughout? Not that I think campaigns have to be SO LITERAL all the time, but it feels so discombobulated

Yes, you’re 100% right!! https://www.glossy.co/beauty/wellness/the-wellness-fertility-boom-is-just-getting-started/

Last year we saw a lot of menopause/ perimenopause wellness and focus, and this year I very much agree we’ll turn to fertility. I believe it was Jessica Defino who said we’ll also see a rise in puberty wellness focus. And I don’t think the fertility rise exists in a vacuum by any means - feels very poignant (not sure if good or bad) in a world where women’s reproductive rights are being threatened.

I think FOR SURE there's an interest correlation in all of that plus rise of Mormon mom/mormontok, trad wives, and our country's conservative shift.

I think thinness was heavily featured in the ads because it’s recaptured the zeitgeist. Thinness is back as an alluring/desirable trait specifically "fit” thinness. Also poor DEI sentiments means inclusivity might just drop, even in marketing.

For sure - and that's the issue! We have to challenge that.
