Loved this, you really nailed the salient points, especially about the status signalling - that's so true! I listened to the audiobook earlier this year and I loved the food descriptions, but it was also SO uncomfortable, which I think is the point.
Ahh I’m so glad you enjoyed!! It’s definitely supposed to make you feel uncomfortable but I’m surprised at how much affection she still managed to draw from me for the main character. I think food is such an interesting lens to look at so many aspects of life so I loved getting these thoughts out in the world
Ahh amazing! I feel like it’s so hard to find spots in Manhattan that allow laptops, and Brooklyn seems to have more laptop friendly cafes. It’s definitely a good one.

Yay, Jordan, welcome! I loved reading your thoughts on Piglet.
Thank you Michelle 🥹🫶🏻
Adding this to my TBR list! (And Early Yves to my coffee shop list!!)
Please let me know what you think when you read it!! Are you local to BK!?
I'm on the upper east side, so local enough😉 I work remotely and am trying to find some nice spaces so I can get out of my apartment!!

Definitely adding this to my reading list immediately!
I think you would love it!! It can be heavy at times but honestly it hasn't left my head since I read it.
