Okay, so I'm not the only one with airplane nerves. I really enjoyed God of the Woods. The Brightside is on my too large stack of books. And I'm V curious about Youthjuice but need to read The Glow which I have had since last summer first.
Ugh I HATE the airplane nerves, especially because I fly A LOT. I am really excited to finally dive into God of the Woods, I have a feeling I will really like it.
I started Youthjuice but it didn't grip me, so I switched over to Rainbow Black (talk about GRIPPING omg) and now am moving on to another highly anticipated one, but I do want to circle back to Youtjuice. I read The Glow last summer, interested to hear your thoughts. I like Natural Beauty which is also in a similar vein.
I just late night watched Father of the Bride 2 last week & The Most Fun We Ever Had sounds like exactly what I’m in the mood for right now. Going to use this month’s Spotify hours to listen to this one immediately!!
I’m currently reading The Will of the Many & loving it so far. A little early to say this but reminds me of the magic of reading Harry Potter for the first time?!!
& I preordered The Wedding People because it sounded great but really because it has such a stunning cover. Excited to dive into it soon!
Father of the Bride is truly a superior movie and I think you'll loveeeee this book. Please tell me what you think once you read it! I'm so excited to read her sophomore novel.
I haven't heard of The Will of the Many, will check out asap!!
And The Wedding People is so lovely - definitely dark at times but that's what I loved. She does such a good job of capturing the dark and light parts of life and how they coexist. It's a really special read.
I cannot waiittttt to read God of the Woods. I'm going to get a physical copy because A) I love the cover and B) I feel like I'm just going to love it and want to own it. Long Bright River was very good - if you read that and like it / can handle the dark themes (not sure if you're into dark and twisty) then I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend On The Savage Side by Tiffany McDaniels. It's really heavy and full of sensitive topics but it's a top 5 of all time for me. If you read Demon Copperhead, it has a similar ethos!
Ok yay I’m going to check that out! The fall season always puts me in the mood for dark & twisty so that will be perfect. Sometimes a heavy theme destroying me emotionally is just what I need haha.
I feel like everyone but me has read Margo's Got Money Troubles - should I read?? It doesn't sound like something quite up my alley but I don't think I've heard a single bad thing about it.
I wasn't sure if it was going to be up my alley either, but after seeing all the positive reviews I decided to try it and I'm so happy I did. I really loved it. It was laugh out loud funny at times, but also touching and profound in ways I wasn't expecting!
I felt exactly the same about Just One Taste! I love Dent and The Summer Job was great, but just couldn’t get into it :/
Ahh I'm so glad it wasn't just me - I feel like I was really forcing myself to get through it. It was just very one dimensional!

Also read God of the Woods this month & loved it- Liz Moore’s prose is just SO GOOD. I’ll definitely be reading Long Bright River too!

Ahh you MUST tell me what you think. Just be warned, it's really, really intense. But so so worth it.
I read Parable of the Sower two years ago and I still think about it ALL of the time!!
The Wedding People and Margo's Got Money Troubles were my two favorite books in August!
I'm excited to read Parable of the Talents!
I feel like everyone but me has read Margo's Got Money Troubles - should I read?? It doesn't sound like something quite up my alley but I don't think I've heard a single bad thing about it.

Maybe I'll place a (what I'm sure will be a very long) library hold and read it when the library gods tell me it's my turn!!
that’s a perfect idea!
On the library waiting list for The Wedding People (24 weeks to go Fml) and Transcendent Kingdom was my favorite read of 2020!
Ahh if you were close by I'd lend you mine!! Transcendent Kingdom was so wonderful and is really sticking with me. Have you read Homegoing?
No, it’s on my endless TBR! Haha
