Happy September 🍂
I hope you were able to take a long weekend and that you thoroughly enjoyed it as much as I did. Fresh off a weekend of lounging, cooking, and picnicking, these are the things that piqued my interest online. I hope you enjoy and take your time to Digest.
Throughout the week when I see something I would send to someone who liked the same things as me, I add it to a collection in my notes app, and that collection eventually becomes The Digest. Enjoy your curated morning paper, ideally with coffee in hand and a soothing morning playlist on in the background.

“Lululemon, the Olympics, and greenwashing” - a fantastic read by
(I remain a premiere Lululemon hater for many reasons)40 of the best fall movies, according to Elle
There seems to be a sudden boom in celebrity daughter content. I saw articles this week about the daughters of Brooke Shields, Kate Moss, Phoebe Philo and Kate Moss again, Katie Holmes & Tom Cruise, and an entire article on celeb kids’ college choices
Meanwhile, a very certain kind of college student (well, their parents) are spending thousands on interior designers for their dorm decor - sometimes costing more than tuition
Liquid Death consistently innovates. They just teamed up with Yeti on a casket cooler and auctioned it off for over $68,000 on their site
Precious Lee is on the cover of Elle UK’s Oct issue. I love this + Precious + want to see her keep winning. Even so, “plus size” rep cannot continue comprising only of 2-3 of the same (hourglass shaped) people on every runway + in every mag
Operation Match was the OG dating app. Google Forms are the latest
ASOS’s targeted IG ads are hitting their mark (me). Their assortment of flats right now is gooood. Just bought these in fall’s hottest color, but also have my eye on these and these
“Notes On: How to Romanticise September” by
Lisa Taddeo’s bestselling novel, Three Women, is finally coming to the screen as a series on Starz
A list of highly anticipated fall book releases - I don’t go for many cozy novels but I love a few in the fall. This one is available for $2.99 on Kindle and just might be a fall comfort pick this year (I love a story about an inn - very Lorelei Gilmore)
Why yes, I do have more lists of fall releases for comparison - this one’s from Bustle and this one’s from The NY Times
More and more brands are leaning into IRL activations (so many beauty brands on buses). Westman Atelier is the latest to try and cultivate in-person community with their audience (on a bus)
“What comes after the girlboss? Redefining success in a world that isn’t built for all of us”
How Louis-Gabriel Nouchi outfitted the 2024 Paralympics opening ceremony - “It was the right challenge to take on; I always say that I work on all bodies, and I take that mission seriously” - they found a new fan in me!
We’ve been tracking along with the bag charm trend here and it’s not going anywhere. Can’t afford a Marc Jacobs Tote Bag or make one yourself a la Nara Smith? Don’t worry, there’s a MJ Tote Bag charm for the… low? price of $125
“How Ozempic is reshaping the resale market” - I have many thoughts
82% of Gen Z have never worked full time in an in-person setting. Is this the reason that they’re glamorizing office culture with corp core + office siren trends?
On the other hand, corporations are seeking to employ influencers
Everything I Read in August is live!
I cannot wait to start making fall recipes. This list is great - I’ll be making that pork chop with apples + bacon on the first crisp, cool night in October
Obsessed with all things Ina Garten - I related to her childhood stories in this lovely, candid profile and can’t wait for her memoir. She is my muse: (“she’s funny, she’s rich, she’ll let you eat the chocolate cake your mother said you couldn’t have”)
Allegedly Anna Delvey is joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars? If you’re an Inventing Anna fan, you may enjoy Iman Hariri-Kia’s new book, out 9/17
I LOVE seeing Samyra in The Cut!!! Can’t wait to see what she contributed to their fall fashion issue, out tomorrow. She is the advocate we need
How old are you and do you book plane tickets on your phone or your laptop?
Instagram’s newest update allows for comments on stories, changing them from 1:1 connection to more of a community space
The more I learn about John M. Chu (director of Wicked, Crazy Rich Asians & more) the more I love him. He talked to Bazaar about reimagining the American dream and who gets to be seen as a hero in media. More of this!
Emma Roberts has partnered with digital travel platform Trainline to curate a list of reads based on your next travel destinations. Cool idea, but the picks fall flat for me (Hemingway??)
This piece about the tyranny of the US penny was weirdly… compelling?
As an avid HTGAWM fan, I’m obsessed with the current renaissance of Conrad Ricamora (still can’t wait for How to Die Alone with Natasha Rothwell)
